I honestly always felt bad for this guy, having to go 200 years of all the hell just to stay pseudo-alive. Fortunately he does make a pretty good settler and can always be directed to go to other places through dialogue options if you speak to him without bugging up the game through the workshop mode settler relocation. Kinda wished Bethesda made him a companion with romancing perk, even ghouls that haven't gone corrupt need a friend too.
