Personality:

Aerostorm is a rather shy pony, mainly due to the fact that few ponies want anything to do with her so she doesn’t get much socialization outside of family members and close family friends. Despite her shyness, deep down Aerostorm is rather friendly and eager to make friends, she just has a lot of figurative “walls” up and doesn't trust easily because of how often she is shunned because of who her father was.


Background:

When the Storm King was in charge of Equestria, he enslaved all of its inhabitants as he would have with any other country he enslaved. During the taking over of the capital city of Equestria, the Storm King’s guards managed to capture Songbird Serenade. Upon hearing the mare’s beautiful singing voice, the Storm King gained an odd kind of fondness towards Songbird and ordered his guards to transport her to the castle so she could live as his personal “pet” so to speak.


During the time Songbird Spent as the king’s personal companion, the Storm King became rather infatuated with the mare and eventually fell in love with her, although sadly the feelings were not mutual as Songbird Serenade wanted nothing to do with the Storm King’s love. Songbird’s rejection did not stop the Storm King, instead only challenging him more as he forced himself upon the poor mare in a fit of feral instinctual anger. Once all was said and done and the Storm King had been defeated, Songbird performed for one last time at the Friendship Festival before going into hiding. Songbird knew she was carrying a child of the Storm King’s, but she refused to let it go, instead choosing to raise it as if it were her own.


After what seemed like forever, Songbird gave birth to a rather surprisingly large foal, which had put her into critical condition. Luckily Songbird had hired a very good doctor to get her thought the birth in private out of the prying public eyes, and with some quick thinking he managed to save her life. When Songbird first saw the child, she couldn't believe how this infant in her arms, could resemble such a sharp angled face of the Storm King’s. This child was obviously the Storm King’s heir, and that scared Songbird.


Despite her fear, Songbird raised the child as if it were her own, all alone. It wasn't easy at first raising a hybrid, especially when the child started to have magical outbursts. Songbird assumed the outbursts would stop eventually and just did what she could in the meantime to help her child through the issue. When the child got older the outbursts had gotten worse, but despite

this Songbird still loved the child as her own, never again scared of the filly’s magic as she was in the beginning.


When Aerostorm was old enough to learn to control her magic, Songbird was horrified to find that her daughter had also gotten her cutie mark, seeing that the cutie mark was in the exact shape of the Storm King’s war emblem. As Aerostorm grew, so did her powers and every day she was losing more and more control of her magic. Despite the magical outbursts, Aerostorm still functions along with her family, she’s homeschooled but she goes out with her family on outings and such.


When AeroStorm was 3, Songbird met Sapphire shores and the couple hit it off rather well, and soon Sapphire was a new mommy after her and Songbird married. Then a few years down the road, Sapphire managed to get pregnant with the help of a magical transformation that kept Songbird as a male for a month, Sapphire had offered to carry when they had a child due to Aerostorm being such a hard and dangerous birth for Songbird. After 9 months, Sapphire gave birth to Sinatra, Aerostorm’s new baby brother.


Relationships:


Songbird Serenade is Probably Aero’s most favorite pony, they have a great bond and spend a lot of time together. Songbird made a point to make sure that her daughter felt loved by her, seeing that so many others rejected her because of who her father was. Despite Songbird’s efforts, Aerostorm still feels like a social outcast, so much so that she dropped out of highschool during sophomore year because of the bullying.


Sapphire Shores used to be one of Aerostorm’s enemies, Stormy didn't like having to share her mom with this stupid loud mare with poofy hair and pretty eyes, she was jealous as all heck. Aerostorm has since then grown out of the phase and treats Sapphire with love and respect and Sapphire does the sme to her.


Aerostorm adores her younger half brother Sinatra, they get along well and often enjoy time together since neither have many friends.


Other:


- Aerostorm started having nightmares when she was very little, through these nightmares she has met princess Luna on multiple occasions, they never speak to one another and rarely ever actually interact in the dream realm aside from some glances at one another, but still they consider each other almost friends in a way.


- Aerostorm has weather related powers just like her father did, although her magic focuses more around wind, ice, and snow more than actual storms and rain like her father’s magic (she has some minor control over other weather stuff too, just more so with wind/ice/snow etc because that's what she’s practiced with in the past). This causes some magical outbursts of course, resulting in Aerostorm accidentally freezing half of her room a few times while she slept, giving SInatra frostbite one time on accident and the occasional crap it's snowing in the house again (this was the least destructive one) based on a headcanon that I had that the Storm King had weather related powers before he got his greedy little claws on the alicorn magic using the Staff of Sacanas (that's the staff he has during the movie, it's mentioned by tempest and in the mlp movie art and origins book)


- Aerostorm knows a little bit about her father but Songbird has tried to keep him out of her daughter’s life as often as possible, so Aerostorm does not know a majority about her father, just bits and pieces.


- when Aerostorm was a baby, she started out with scruff around her neck that Songbird would often instinctively carry her by, as she got older a mane began to form. At first Stormy’s mane was thin and scraggly looking, but as she got older it began to take shape and eventually grew to look rather majestic, similar to the way a lion’s mane would develop.
