*Crystal Amore is a one-night stand child of Cadence and Fancy Pants when Cadence was in Cantorlot. Cadence didn't tell neither Fancy or Shining about her surprise pregnancy but she did tell Celestia, Luna & Twilight of course. She stayed in Cantorlot for "queen duties" during her pregnancy. After Crystal was born, Cadence brought her to an orphanage, where Crystal's later adopted by Moondancer and Flash Sentry. Crystal Amore has no idea that her birth mother was a queen, her birth father is highly respected in society and that she has 4 half siblings.(3 of them are Cadence's kids with Shining and the other is Fancy's kid with Fleur di Lis)
Shining Armor stumbled apon Sombra's old office one day while on patrol. Curious, he went inside and snooped around, finding an old spellbook. He opened it and read the spell outloud, unknowingly getting himself corrupted by the same magic that had corrupted Sombra many years ago. That same night, while Shining Armor was asleep, his horn curved much like Sombra's and his eyes changed shape and became green, like Sombra's. When he awoke and saw the changes that had happened over night, he panicked and ran to the old office, only to find the pathway to the office and the office itself have dissappeared but he did find the same old spellbook that was in the office. He grabbed it and ran back to his and Candence's room and began to read it, finding out that the spell he had read gave him the same magic as Sombra. That's when it all turned south for him. While Cadence was away on her "queen duties", Shining Armor praticed the magic, making him more strong, powerful and corrupt. One night, Shining Armor used the magic to find out that Cadence had a one-night stand with Fancy Pants and saw that she ended up getting pregnant from it. Furious, he began to plot a plan for revenge but for his plan to work, he had to wait for a long time. Fast forward about 15 years, no pony in the empire was aware of Shining's corruption. He was so skilled with the magic, he was able to make himself look like his former self 15 years before. One fateful night, while Cadence was wondering the halls heading back to her's and Shining's room, Shining Armor confronted her about the one-night stand. They argued before Shining Armor used the magic to show his new self. He smirked while Cadence gasped in horror before using the magic to pin her down and ripped out her heart, crushing it. She didn't even have time to reaction or even to scream because it all happened so fast. After that, Shining Armor ran out of the castle and out of the empire into the moutains with the spellbook and Cadence's crushed heart. Cadence's lifeless body was found an hour after the attack by the guards and was addressed to the ponies of the empire the next morning. Flurry Heart, Diamond Crest and Ribbon Heart were all shocked by the death of their mother and the dissappearence of their father.
*After the death of her mother, Flurry Heart had taken the role as queen of the Crystal Empire and it took a big toll on her mental heath a few weeks after. She became more snappy towards her younger siblings and the guards. They didn't blame her of course, the new queen was going through a tough transfer from princess to queen in a matter of weeks and the lost of Cadence, who Flurry was very close with growing up. About a month and a half after Cadence's death and her queening, Flurry Heart made a command to the Crystal Empire Royal Guard to go out to find her father, the stallion she believed took Cadence's life. She did find out about Crystal Amore and the one-night stand her mother had with Fancy Pants and had Celestia send Cantortlot guards to keep Fancy Pants and his family safe because she feared Shining Armor might be after him next.
