You thank Sapphire Kite, and as she leaves the town hall, you walk up to the north door labeled “Mayor’s Quarters” and gently knocks on it. After a few seconds, a jovial bearded stallion greets you from the other side, presumably Sapphire Kite’s father.

Bearded stallion: “Ohh, who’s this? A new face in town! Welcome to Hoofington! What’s your name, filly?”

You introduce yourself to the bearded stallion.

Bearded stallion: “Hmm… Trailblazer. Ahh, yes. You moved in just yesterday, didn’t you? How’d that go for you?”

You tell him that it was no trouble, and ask if he is Mayor Hoofingold.

Bearded stallion: “Ho ho! That I am, but just Hoofingold’s fine. Say, isn’t that one of Crystal Charm’s trinkets you’re wearing?”

You tell Hoofingold that he is right, and that Crystal Charm gave you the Lens of Honesty this morning.

Hoofingold: “Gave it to you, you say? Well, well! It seems you’re already making some good friends! She’s always been looking for an adventurer, that filly. Ah, but I’m getting ahead of myself. What brings you here, Trailblazer?”
