Prism waiting in front of the door, lying down and dozing off.

Prism: Groans What's taking so long?

????: Father? What are you doing up late?

Prism: Raises head up and turns to see the foal behind him. Striker? Why are you up? You need to go back to bed. You got school tomorrow with Miss Annie.

Striker: walks towards him It's ok, Father. I've already had my nap earlier and I feel energized. You should go to bed. You don't look so good.

Prism: I'm fine, Striker. I just yawns need to wait for a few minutes before I go back to sleep.

Striker: Is it because Mother isn't here yet?

Prism: …Yeah.. How'd you know that?

Striker: Isn't it obvious, Dad? After Mom leaves for work, you seem all laid back and fine. But when she gets home late, you wait for her in the front of the door until she gets here.

Prism: Well, that is kinda true. But I only wait for her because I don't want anything to happen to her. Your mom has a dangerous job. Anything could happen to her. What would happen if I wasn't there if the unspeakable happened?

Striker: Well, if it's a job you disapprove, why don't you tell her to step down from her position?

Prism: I couldn't do that. It's her dream job. She's been dreaming about this ever since she was a filly. It would just upset her.

Striker: True true. climbs up onto of Prism Then.. Why don't you take a break, and I'll wait for Mother to come home.

Prism: smirk What?

Striker: You've done enough, Father. pats shoulder I'll take over.

Prism: You sure you're up for it, son?

Striker: I am.

Prism: chuckles Thanks, Striker.

Striker: Of course. Anything to have Mother come home safe.

Prism: drifts off to sleep. Yeah… Zzzzzz…

Sooo… I did a thing with Next Next Gen kids. Striker is such a cutie (plus I love Starbolt).. For me, Striker would take after her Grandma Twi Twi. That's why he uses big words and calls his parents Mother and Father. He also got his cutie mark at a young age (and he is homeschooled by Annie because of other complications with school).

Who else agrees we need more of this?? (just saying)….
