- Honeycrisp is the first born daughter of Pipsqueak and Apple Bloom. The little filly grew up listening to stories of her father's adventures in the Equestrian Navy and having her older cousin Everfree give her sarcasm lessons which has lead to her getting herself and friends Zelda Heartsong and Nimbus into trouble from time to time.

- Honey had a normal upbringing until her home life was "turned upside-down" by the birth of her baby sister. Honey resents the little baby because she eats up all her parents' time and energy and they won't hardly play with her anymore. Honey won't admit it to anypony but she secretly thinks her baby sister is the cutest thing in the world.

- Honey spends most of her time in her garden and when she's at school she teams up with her cousin Daffodil to torment and chase school yard bully Sugar. On the weekends she is a junior counselor at the Cutie Mark Day Camp because like her mother she enjoys helping others find their what makes them special.
