It was another snowy evening in the Crystal Empire. There were a few reasons for Forged Steel moving here permanently; one, it had a climate that reminded him of home, but without the political tension; two, it's where he first struck it big on the national wrestling scene; and three, he met his soulmate, the local jeweler Glitter Jewel.

Tonight was their third anniversary. Because they didn't care much for making a big scene (at least, in his case outside of the wrestling ring) they agreed on a nice, quiet evening inside. Steel surprised her with an amazing dinner of eggplant parmagiana and a Dream Valley Chardonnay that was aged 10 years. Although she wasn't the princess of this realm, Forged certainly had ways to make her feel like she was.

After a quiet dinner together, they turned out the lights and settled in on the sofa for cuddling and television. Always the chivalrous one, Steel insisted she pick what to watch. Sarcastically, she suggested "Yo soy Betty, la fea", a very famous soap opera that was premiering that night. He wasn't one for melodrama, being that was his work in a way, but agreed to let her watch because it was her night to feel special.

About halfway through the show, Glitter's glass of wine was near empty. "Hey Steely, can you get me anothe glass?" Strangely her question went unanswered. Half expecting him asleep, she rolled her eyes and turned around to look at him "Steel, honey…" His gaze was locked on the TV, obviously engrossed in the "sappy melodrama" she'd picked out until he suddenly snapped out. "What's that, my little amythest?" He said, kissing her forehead and trying to pretend he wasn't caught.

"Oh, nothing. Just making sure you were awake" She said with a knowing grin as she slipped back into his lap, head resting under his chin.
