Parcly Taxel: Two years ago there was an eclipse visible over Bali and the surrounding regions; I was there to observe it. However, in Bali itself a contradiction arose between those who wanted to go out and celebrate the eclipse and the local holiday of Nyepi, a day of rest and silence. Dispensations had to be issued to break the stalemate.

Spindle: Now we’re actually going to Bali, a place Parcly hasn’t been before, mainly just to relax. For this and other reasons – Bali is a small island – the trip is shorter than what we’ve been through before, but I still expect lots of smooth emotions to feed on from my partner.

Parcly: Once again, I’ll be doing a daily picture journal of my experiences. I may not have enough time away from the fun to achieve this, though…
