Next in my Dawnverse headcanon is the QuibbleDash family!

Some minor changes here: Quibble Pants is a brunette and a little hefty. Feather Dart and Storm Streak sport slightly altered cutie marks as well. Also, I gave Storm Streak braces and a wilder mane. Finally, Rainbow Dash is no longer pregnant: stay tuned. (don't worry, there is no miscarriage or death)

Rainbow Dash:

The headstrong pegasus mare never thought she would settle her hooves with any pony; however, after some persistence from Fluttershy, Rainbow finally went on a date with Zephyr Breeze, not expecting it to lead anywhere. Well, the date led to a few more, then a short but passionately physical relationship between the two pegasi. When the relationship ended, the two pegasi felt they did not need to cross paths again; however, an unexpected pregnancy led to panic which only grew in Zephyr as the pregnancy continued on. After Zephyr left one night to never return, Rainbow found herself very pregnant and alone. Although incredibly upset and angry at the abandonment, Rainbow accepted her fate and moved on, giving birth to Feather Dart soon after. The moment Rainbow held her son, she teared at how awesome he was and would be, the mare vowing to never leave her son behind. As a mother, despite being busy, Rainbow never missed the most previous moments of Dart's life. The mare always cheered the loudest, hugged the hardest, and took the most pictures for her own scrapbook: she was very much turning into her own mother. However, this did not come without struggle: being a Wonderbolt and a teacher at the Friendship Academy and a single mother sometimes proved too much for Rainbow, even with help from "Aunt" Fluttershy. However, Rainbow never gave up, and so raised her son by herself for most of Dart's early colthood. Things changed when Rainbow received a letter in the mail from an old pen pal, Quibble Pants. On the insistence of her friends, Rainbow replied to Quibble, which soon became a chain of letters, which became a meet-up that became three years of dating and a wedding and a new daughter, Storm Streak. Rainbow continues to revolve around her children, doing everything from helping her son practice for a Wonderbolt competition or picking up her daughter from school because she caused thunderstorm in the hallway, again.

Fun Facts:
- Rainbow is very much a "soccer mom": the mare never misses activities involving her children, no matter how mundane.
- Rainbow serves as an assistant to Spitfire in drilling new recruits for the Wonderbolts.
- Like her own parents, Rainbow recorded every moment of her children's lives in a scrapbook (although she does not have a room shrine dedicated to them: there is no room at her house).
- Rainbow serves as the President of the Daring Do Fan Club. She holds monthly book club meetings at her house, complete with cookies.


Quibble Pants:

After their first encounter at the Daring Do Convention, Quibble could never quite get the Rainbow pegasus out of his head, even after their pen pal relationship slowly ended. While Rainbow raised her son, Quibble devoted his time to perfecting his writing, his fanfictions eventually landing the stallion employment as an editor for a major book publishing company. Even with putting all his efforts in his work, Quibble always wondered what happened to his friend Rainbow. After anxiously pondering the risks, Quibble took a leap and wrote a letter to Rainbow, hoping to have a response. The desired response came quicker than Quibble anticipated, and soon the two were writing to each other every week. After months of writing back and forth, Quibble took another leap of fate and asked Rainbow if they could meet face to face once again. Rainbow agreed, bringing her son along for the encounter. Although nervous with sweat at first, Quibble relaxed as he spent the day with his friend Rainbow and her son Dart. After their first meeting, Quibble and Rainbow continued meeting, eventually forming a solid relationship. While Quibble was completely relaxed around Rainbow, the stallion was weirdly nervous around Dart, maybe due to inexperience around children. Planning to ask Rainbow her hoof in marriage, Quibble tried hard to get along with Dart, each day together making their relationship better. After some serious talks and fun "stallion days" at the park or at the Wonderbolt arena, Dart finally accepted Quibble as a cool stallion. Things moved very quickly after Rainbow told Quibble she was pregnant with his child. Not wanting to copy what Zephyr did to Rainbow, Quibble asked right there and then to be her husband, and both their unborn child and Dart's father. Within no time there was a wedding and then a little filly named Storm Streak. As a father, Quibble was a nervous wreck, at least at first. With Dart there was a fragile relationship that hinged on likability. With his own daughter Storm, Quibble's nerves came from the possibility of messing everything up. However, his insecurities melted away after Dart called him "Dad" for the first time, and then when baby Storm snuggled in his arms. Since then, Quibble became just as much of a nerdy supportive parent as Rainbow Dash herself.

Fun Facts:
- Quibble is almost always wearing a flannel shirt.
- Quibble is the heftiest of the Dash family due to stress, a not great diet, and darn genetics.
- Quibble and Rainbow, in a crazed and tired daze after a stressful birth, wanted to name Storm Streak after a Daring Do character; however, two nurses and the Mane 5 somehow managed to convince the parents to not go through with the plan.
- Quibble is a respected and published author of multiple books, not all of them being based on Daring Do fanfictions.
- Quibble officially adopted Dart as his own son right after marrying Rainbow Dash.

Feather Dart:

Feather Dart is the son of Rainbow Dash and Zephyr Breeze. Dart grew up not knowing who his biological dad was: when he asked his mother Rainbow, she scoffed off the question, and when he asked his "Aunt" Fluttershy, she laughed awkwardly and changed the topic. Soon Dart stopped asking about his father, instead embracing his mother and her devotion: Dart didn't need a dad anyway. For the first handful of years of his life, it was just Dart and Rainbow, and the colt preferred it that way. Dart never let not having a father figure stop him from doing what he loved: flying. Throughout his colthood, Dart won numerous flying competitions much to his mother's delight. Then one day, Rainbow brought Dart to meet Quibble Pants. At first, the colt did not like that this earth stallion was stealing away his mother. When Quibble tried to interact with Dart, the awkwardness could be carved with a butter knife: Dart wanted nothing more than for it to be just him and his mother again, and Quibble did not know how to interact with a child. Fortunately, after a talk with "Aunt" Fluttershy, Dart slowly began accepting Quibble as a member of their small family, although Dart did pause when Quibble gave Dart a sister despite wanting a brother. Aside from this, Dart eventually warmed up to Quibble, even calling the stallion "Dad" to this day.

Fun Facts:
- Dart is the tallest of the Dash Family.
- As a young cold, Dart had a long mane: however, the young colt decided one day to experiment with cutting his mane. Dart did not inherit his father's mane styling abilities, and so almost butchered his mane, the only time Rainbow really punished her son. However, Dart liked the chopped look and so kept the style into stallionhood.
- Dart is quite sensitive like his "Aunt" Fluttershy, and is easily startled.
- Dart has a stupid crush on his best friend Dawn Dreamer.
- Dart took some defense classes from Royal Guard Commander Tempest so that he could protect Dawn Dreamer.
- Dart and Rainbow share ear piercings: they got them together when Dart was a teenager.

Storm Streak:

Storm Streak is the daughter of Rainbow Dash and Quibble Pants. From the moment the pegasus was born, a storm was brewing. The little mare is almost an exact clone of her mother's brash and stubborn personality, and her enthusiasm for pulling pranks and being awesome. When younger, Dart thought his little sister was a little monster because Storm caused destruction whereever she went. However, underneath the rough and tough exterior is a girly mare trying to figure herself out. On one hoof, Storm loves sports and rough-housing with storm clouds. On the other hoof, Storm loves the latest pop songs and secretly desires to be beautiful enough for fashion and make-up. Her perceived inner conflicts cause Storm to lash out through being the prankster and bad girl, often seeing the principal's office more than the classroom. Eventually Storm will learn to channel her energy through sports and controlling storm clouds; however for now, the teenage mare simply struggles to find herself out and to eat without breaking her braces, again.

Fun Facts:
- Storm will grow to be the shortest of the Dash family. Despite having an athletic frame, Storm will always have a round "squishy" face.
- Storm loves singers Sapphire Shores and Coloratura. She eagerly awaits their concerts in Ponyville so she can drag her dad to the front row and see her idols.
- Storm struggles with her self image: the mare feels she is a weird mixture of tom-boy and girly girl.
- Despite looking more like her father, Storm shares more of her nerdy passions and mannerisms with her father: both love writing fanfictions and share the same smirk and relaxed hoof position, one hoof slightly behind the neighboring leg.
