General Bio:
Under the Princess of Friendship, Pansy grew up to be a gentle, kind-hearted soul from the start; winning ponies with her sweet disposition and calm demeanor. Although Twilight always encouraged her daughter to make friends, Pansy is inherently shy and quiet and struggles with approaching others. If only ponies were to approach her first, they'd find the kindest, most caring friend they could ever have. One of her most shining qualities is her empathic nature. She'll listen patiently to anypony who wants to ramble to her about their problems, before offering sound advice and comforting words that make even the worst situation seem not so bad after all. In fact, while Pansy avidly avoids any personal conflict within herself and with others, she'll help any ponies having a dispute of their own and is remarkably good at finding a solution, which helped her earn the reputation as a peacemaker (and her cutie mark). She's also really sensitive when it comes to the needs and wants of others and is an eager pony-pleaser.
Generally, ponies tend to just see the positive, cheerful side of Pansy, almost to the point of her looking like a perfect goody-two-shoes and for the most part, Pansy does a good job of keeping that image up. But while she strives to reach her high ideals, deep down she sufferers more than any pony knows (since she tends to bottle everything up and doesn't like to open up about her issues). Even though she won't admit it, Pansy struggles with self-doubt over her own abilities and constantly fears she'll fall short of the expectations of others. And as a perfectionist, failure and mistakes hit her hardest, which is why she has trouble with overthinking and letting things go. Even some of her best qualities make her vulnerable, as she can be too trusting and a bit of a pushover. At least, that's what her friends say. Pansy knows that trying to look for the best in others isn't always the best, but she's a mare who believes in second chances. Despite the shadow of flaws, she feels haunting her every step, Pansy looks on the bright side of things, holding on to whatever positivity she can, and often finds solace for her own problems by helping others with theirs.
Pansy is a simple mare and is quite content to lead a simple life at home reading or tending to the greenhouse Twilight had installed just for her. Downtime is very important to her, which she usually spends writing in her journal, pressing flowers, and dabbling in watercolors. However, despite how much of an introverted homebody she is, Pansy often finds herself getting roped into hanging out with her group of friends, whether it's for a swim at the lake or an unplanned wild and wacky misadventure. Aside from the stressful and draining effect, this can have on her sometimes, Pansy really does enjoy spending time with those she loves, even though she'd rather skip out on the spontaneous camping trip and have a board game night instead ( she's a champion at Monopoly). Pansy also adores animals, especially the little, cute critters like bunnies, squirrels, and chickadees. During summer break, Pansy can usually be found at volunteering and helping out at Fluttershy's animal sanctuary.

Twilight is without a doubt one of the most special ponies in Pansy's life, especially considering she was the only family Pansy knew for the greater part of her childhood. Growing up, Pansy was a submissive little sweetheart who was eager to please her mother in everything she did and would rarely do anything without Twilight's approval. At a young age, Pansy modeled herself after her mother almost subconsciously, whether it was having similar mane styles or the same fear of quesadillas. Even though Twilight heavily influenced Pansy's love for learning new things, reading books, organizing, and, of course, her moral ethic, there are many ways in which they're different. For one, Pansy has a lower intelligence when it comes to academics, and she because has trouble putting herself out there, she lacks Twilight's 'take charge' attitude. Since Pansy holds her mother as the highest ideal to reach for, sees these differences as flaws and struggles to come to terms with them. But despite the high pedestal she put her mother on as she grew older, Pansy truly loves her mother very much and although their bond is somewhat strained, it is also the deepest. She fully trusts (a little too much sometimes) Twilight in everything, while the alicorn is quite proud of her sweet little bookworm and has tried to do her best as her mom since day one. From day one, Twilight has been one of Pansy's favorite companions and they do quite a lot together, from visiting antique shops to building book forts.
Special:
-When Pansy was about 4-years-old, she suddenly became very deathly ill and instead of staying at the hospital, the filly insisted she'd be more comfortable at home. She constantly had a high fever, and was barely awake most of those days, not to mention she was too weak from coughing and vomiting to even eat sometimes. All it seemed to be was a violent case of the flu, but it really took a toll on Pansy, as well as Twilight; she barely slept or ate the entire time. After a few weeks of praying and hoping and praying that Pansy would come out alright, things finally started to look better for the filly. After a long and steady recovery, Pansy was back to being her normal self. Well, save for the fact that her illness had greatly diminished her eyesight and she now needed glasses for the rest of her life. But far-sightedness was a small price to pay for what she went through.

- Pansy has always been a bookworm ever since she was old enough to understand the stories Twilight read to her, and that love for reading has never been quenched. However, even though Twilight has encouraged she read books of math, history, and science, Pansy has a hard time with these subjects and only trudges through them for academic purposes. Rather, it's works of fiction like old-fashioned romance or daring quests, as well as some philosophical books even, that interest her. And unless you're prepared to see the firey side of Pansy where her whole body rings with uncontained excitement and her eyes gleam with so many theories, then don't ever ask her about what book she's reading. She will tell you-she will tell you all.
- Growing up as an earth pony when your mother is an honest-to-goodness alicorn was a struggle at a times for Pansy. For instance, it was kinda hard for Twilight to teach Pansy how to perform magic when she's missing the right appendage. Not to mention, flying together wasn't easy to do either, not when Pansy is scared of heights and suffers from motion sickness. Twilight secretly felt a little disappointed that she couldn't do any of these things with her daughter, but she never showed it and instead encouraged Pansy to accept things the way they are. Pansy on the other hoof doesn't talk about the nagging feeling of being different and how she feels like it's a strain in their relationship, and instead, she chooses to ignore those feelings and avoid talking about it with Twilight. On the surface, no pony would be able to notice the underlining issue; only those with a keen eye can catch the quick sigh or downcast eyes whenever the subject is broached.
