Now I got to admit that here is a spontaneous project where I am all but clueless about which art category it is to be ascribed to During a Brony meetup at the Rhinebeach of Rodenkirchen / Cologne the color difference between the dark, wet sand close to the waterline and the lighter, dry sand further up gave me one of my crazy ideas. I tried to draw a Lyra Heartstrings (having the Lyra and Bon Bon Day the following Day in mind) by scattering light dry sand onto the darker wett sand. It worked out nicely but did come with some drawbacks.
The first Lyra I made was drowned by the surf caused by a freightship passing by before I could complete her. The second one was completed, but I had picked ground so soaked to work on, that the supposedly light dry sand quickly drew humidity too, so that Lyra became spotty rather quickly, before she too was washed away by the surf of a fright ship.
Finally I made the one shown unfinished in the big picture above which a fellow brony took. I was moments from completing her (adding and correcting some stuff not seen in the work in progress picture above) when once again she was washed away by the surf of a freightship before I could take a good picture of the completed work.
After that I abandoned further attempts lest certain thoughts involving torpedoes, floating mines and certain high-surfed freightships could take any concrete forms ;)
