"Alright girls, let me see your costumes!" Twilight called out cheerfully from the living room sofa, smiling with excitement as she was prepared to be "scared" by her daughter's costumes; costumes that they chose to pick and design themselves.

Muffled giggles sounded softly from behind a curtain that hung in one of the doorways as a make-shift veil so Twilight would be unable to see the young girls.

"I hope you're ready," Ophelia chimed, her voiced rang out with excitement, "and be sitting! This costume is pretty scary…!"

Twilight bit back laughter and prepared herself to feign fright, "Oh I'm ready!"

The curtain burst open as a small Draconequus burst from concealment! RAAAAR! she roared, jumping out quickly and flexing her tiny clawed paws towards the Alicorn. Gigantic shimmering butterfly wings stuck to her back.

Twilight's pretend yell of fear quickly turned to that of confusion. "You're a… butterfly?" she questioned.

"Pretty scary, right?!" Ophie beamed with pride, "I think I have the costume contest in the bag!"

Her mother covered her mouth with her hoof as she laughed lovingly, "Don't say that just yet, we haven't seen Persephone, come on out, Percy!"

Ophelia crossed her arms and rolled her eyes dramatically, "she's not even scary…" she mumbled as she walked over and took a seat by her mother.

Tentatively, and less dramatically, a younger Draconequus stepped nervously from behind the curtain and stood in front of her mother and sister with her arms sticking straight out; she was wearing a painted cereal box that was meant to resemble that of a book.

"See!" Ophelia cried, looking Percy up and down, "I don't think she knows what scary is!"

"Do too!" Percy replied, "I'm not just any book! I'm self-published! And full of grammatical mistakes!" she snorted, stamping her foot and glaring at her sister.

Twilight began laughing loudly at the two bickering sisters, and enveloping them both with her wings in a group hug.

"I think you both are very spooky!" she cooed, nuzzling both of the girls.
