One day, Gallus was travelling the world, when he decided to rest at the caverns of the remote Last Mountains. As he was setting up his camp at the mouth of one of its caves, he noticed several books strewn into a trail, as if carelessly left behind by a runaway. At the end of the trail he saw a rather familiar figure: a brown she-gryphon with a white head.
"Gilda?" he asked. "What are you doing there with a library? Storing records?"
"Yeah," the brown-white gryphon smirked. "I'm just bored from pestering dweebs for so long, that I'd like to gather some books that I've found lying about in those ruins, and read them just to pass my time away from hunting, air stunts, swimming, and pestering."
"But aren't books for nerds, Gilda?" Gallus objected. "You're supposed to be cool and rad, not some egghead like Dweeblight Springles."
"Well, I'm just bored, Galls," Gilda answered. "At least I can write some cool stuff on some of the empty books and scrolls. Besides, with Dash out of the way, I'd like to have a student to learn how to be awesome like me!"
"But I'm already awesome, Gil, I don't need a boring study like Twi does." Gallus grumbled again.
"We shall see." Gilda quickly flew and shoved the surprised blue he-gryphon down the waterfall. He screamed and panicked for a while, and in his desperation he flapped his wings and flew back towards the cave.
"What was that for, Gils?" the blue gryphon complained. "Trying to push others around for fun?!"
"Not exactly," Gilda giggled. "I just wanted to train you to be a warrior like me. Those books are just for your boredom if you're not in the mood to fly around — besides, your friends called you a chicken because you're scared of broad valleys with deep depths."
Hearing that c-word lit Gallus' face red with irritation. "Stop calling me that!"
