Or, to be more specific, MY interpretation of Tirek/Tirac's fortress from his debut in G1. It was a bit tough, but I managed to do it. Now, like the butler, i'm gonna tell you all HOW I did it.XD

I basically borrowed alot of influences, and mixed them with the existing design. Such as Maleficent's domain, The Forbidden Mountain, and The Horned King's Castle from "The Black Cauldron". Yet there were other inspirations, as well: The Changeling Hive before its change — though in my Daughter of Discord AU series, this IS the Changeling's original hive before Lord Tirek changed into something more despicable — and the mysterious "Midnight Mountain" from the Courageous-of-Light MLP series. That was a part of the basis, as it's said to be some kind of mountain. All I did was go, and make it into a CASTLE mountain. That glowing part is, of course, the entrance to the castle itself — though it was modeled to intimidate, and give others second thoughts about invading Tirek's dominion. Though you could also say it's the mountain silently suffering in agony after Tirek's corruption twisted, and distorted it into this.:)
