Nightfly: …. *makes an uncertain expression* 

Somber: …. *gets frustrated and growls* Your silence is maddening!!

Nightfly: *gasps and shrinks away a bit, not looking at him* 

Somber: … What kind of Princess of the Night are you?

(From inside — Nightfly's half-sister, Serene Tempest, yells out to him)

Serene: Stop tormenting my sister!

Somber: I didn't do ANYTHING!!

Nightfly: … You yelled at me.

I decided to partake in qatsby's Opheliaverse Contest

I've wanted to hold a contest for a very long time but couldn't really think of anything exciting enough to hold one over, but I've finally decided that I'd like my Next Gen to meet your Next Gen (or non MLP related OCs)!
The subject of this contest is simple: draw either one or more of my current NG characters meeting yours! What would they do? How would they interact? Would they be friend or foe? Lovers? It's all up to you! This is a mashed up AU opportunity! Create the scene and use both mine and your characters to bring it to life!
The deadline for this contest is August 8 2018!!

I decided to draw their SombraXLuna OC, Prince Somber Moon, with my own SomberXLuna OC, Nightfly.

Seeing as Nightfly doesnt speak to ponies she doesnt trust, I imagined being silent/mute around a pony of power such as himself, it would start driving Somber a bit crazy.. lol Nightfly cant help it; She has issues xD

It was fun to draw ^ ^

As for the dialogue, I went with a little light hearted humor lol
