Backstory: She was actually invented as a plastic doll in a workshop in Canterlot. She was brought to life by an accidental magic spell. At first, she was named as "Porcelain Posh" because of how beautiful she was as a plastic doll (even though she wasn't actually made of porcelain), but her creator decided to give her "Elaine" for short. Throughout her first few years in Canterlot, she spent her free time having tea parties with her own toys. In public, she was often teased for looking different than an average pony (Thanks to beeing a plastic doll). Because of this, she would end up wearing dark clothes or clothes that covered her body because she didn't want the judgment to get any worse.

Years later, after having to hide herself from society, she didn't feel comfortable living in Canterlot anymore, so she secretly took the train to Ponyville. This was where she met her best friend, Scarlet. As the two met, they were friendly to each other very well, and Elaine felt much safer with somepony who was so nice to her. As their friendship grew close, so did their feelings for each other, so they eventually became girlfriends. While they did care for each other, this didn't mean they didn't care about their other friends as well.

When it comes to their group of friends, Elaine is always the silliest one out of the group, no matter what.
