The cold wind blew against the sobbing cub, as if trying to soothe her. Fat balls of tears were rolling down her cheeks non-stop as the grass tickled her slightly. How could they do this? She had no actual friends to play with and all the cubs were either too young or had already left the playground. She hiccuped a bit as she curled herself up in a ball.


The lights in the distance glimmered as the sky was filled with sparkling stars. The pink leaves of the cherry tree flew around, sometimes even landing on Beatz.


The sound of wings flapping and leaves being crushed caught her attention as she looked up at her father with wide, teary eyes. His own presence made her tears bubble up more before she turned her face away, using her wings to try to cover her face or at least wipe away her non-stopping tears. Instant warmth covered her back as Robin had seated behind his daughter.


"What's the matter, pansy?"


She only stayed silent, her lips trembling as small sobs were escaping her. He sighed before unfolding his wing and slowly pressing her wing down so he can see her face clearly.


"Pansy…"


He spoke softly then she broke down. She looked up at him with her wide teary eyes and got close to him, now crying against him. He hated seeing her like this. Yes, she cried before but it was never this bad that she had to run away.


"It's okay… It's okay…" He muttered, lowering his head down, pressing it against her back as a hug.


"I just… Wanted to s-see mama…" She spoke through the sobs, clinging to him.


"I know, pansy, I know." He slowly moved her face away from his shoulder so she can look at him.


"She's very sick now, you can see her again in 3 weeks." He said with a small smile but her frown only deepened, "It's too long!" She whined, sniffling as her tears slowly stopped.


"I know, and time flies by fast if you're having fun." He reasoned.


"Who do I even have fun with, papa?" She asked, her voice sounding a little hoarse from crying. "The playground is empty and there's no cub to play with… Even Sally left because the tree had to be trimmed."


He raised an eyebrow. Why would Sally leave just because the tree had to be cut? He didn't question her about it.


"How about we go to the carnival tomorrow night? I'm sure the alpha would let you go if I'm with you."


She looked up at him, tilting her head a little, "What's a carnival?" The word sounded fun to her and she was really curious about it.


"It's a place filled with games, candy, and toys. We'll have so much fun there." He smiled at her. A place that's only where fun happens sounded really fun to her as her eyes stole the stars from the sky. "Really? We can go?!" She exclaimed, feeling happy as she stood up onto her hooves. He chuckled and nodded, "If you be nice tomorrow, then yes. I'll come by around sunset." He grinned as she squealed before hugging him with her small arms, her wings hovering above her body.


"Ahh! Thank you so much, papa! I'll be the nicest cub tomorrow!" She giggled as he hugged back with one arm, "Yeah, I know you will." He chuckled as she pulled away, looking up at the shimmering lights in the sky. He stared up at the sky, watching how the stars glimmered and shone then looked back at Beatz, seeing how her eyes were just locked onto the sky, her eyes filled with wonders as they mirrored the sky. He smiled softly before looking up at the dark sky.


The stars seemed as if they were laughing, making their lights go brighter as they twinkled in the vast sky. It was as if they were staring back at Beatz, the howler with stardust in her blood.

Look at Robin, being such a dad lmao. All howlers are born with stardust in their blood, whilst hybrids either get too much stardust or too less. It will be shown later in the arc if Beatz is one with more stardust or less. If more stardust, it means one of their abilities or physical appearance would be corrupted. If it was less, they would look more pony than a howler. Ahhh I had fun doing this because I really like drawing Robin ;w; I'm trying out different backgrounds and using different overlays as well on how to draw a buFF pony lol.
