Personality:

A rather Charming stallion, Romeo often comes off as sweet and intriguing to most of the ponies he meets, especially mares who fawn over him like he’s a piece of heaven on earth. Despite his suave demeanor, Romeo is actually quite the opposite of his perfect prince persona, being rather douchey in reality.


Background:

Being the youngest child of Shining Armor and Princess Cadence, Romeo wasn't as lucky as his older sister Flurry Heart to be next in line for the throne, not that he cares much. Who cares about running some dumb old crystal kingdom? He’d rather be a pampered flirty and free prince with no responsibilities aside from looking pretty every once in awhile.


Romeo spends most of his time in his family’s castle, or as he calls it: his castle. Often he spends his time courting mares, and adding to his smitten following of mares, seeing that there's not much else he’s responsible enough to do. Flurry Heart has tried to talk her brother out of his rather lousy behaviour but it always ends with an arguement or Romeo storming off, to find another mare to spill his woes to, so Flurry doesn't bother anymore really.


Relationships:


Romeo and Flurry Heart’s relationship is rather strained, seeing that they’re either bickering or just plain annoyed with one another. Flurry just wishes her little brother would start acting more mature and less like a spoiled royal brat, she believes that a prince should live up to his title.


Day Dreamer manages to tolerate Romeo for royal events and dinners, but aside from the times they’re in the public eye, Day Dreamer has little patience for his cousin. Romeo is immature, cocky, and just flat out a total spoiled brat. Day Dreamer also has a hard time holding back when Romeo picks on Solaris for being “girly” and “weak” even though he’s not much better himself.


Hazel is a bit more patient with her cousin, mainly because they see eachother often and she’s gotten used to his behaviour. Despite being more used to his antics, Hazel still wishes her cousin would grow up a bit, but she has an odd soft spot for him seeing that he’s actually rather nice to her at times.


Other:

~ Romeo has a soft spot for children, although not many ponies know this. It's rare for Romeo to show his softer more friendly side, seeing that he’s actually rather self conscious deep down and tends to hide that with his “Casanova” persona he’s created over time.


~ Romeo has a secret love for Daring Do books, not that he’d ever tell anyone that though.


~ Romeo keeps a dream journal, he started it when he started having odd dreams with seemingly hidden meanings, no one knows about this dream journal except Hazel, who advised him to start it in the first place after her friend Gaia Blossom mentioned it at one point.


~ Romeo has always assumed that his talent was romance, because his cutie mark is a rose, but Cadence has always had a feeling that his cutie mark means that he is the next in line to be the alicorn of love, seeing that in Equestria roses are a very common symbol of love.
