Okay, so I feel like at one point, Celestia really just wanted to get rid of Blueblood. Not kill him, mind you, but send him off in the hopes of changing him from a total dick into a little annoying but mostly nice prince. So, what’s the farthest place she could think of? The changeling hive!

“I cannot believe Auntie would send me to such a“ Blueblood struggled for a word that wouldn’t have a racist effect “barren, pitiful place.”

Pharynx groaned. Just a couple more minutes with this prick, then he’d be able to get rid of him. “Oh really? Is it better in ponyland?”

“For your information, it is called Equestria, and it is much nicer than this filthy hive.”

“Brother, the pony prince is here.”

Thorax shifted a bit in his throne- “Who?”

Blueblood burst in, pushing Pharynx aside. “I am, your majesty.” He said mockingly, leaning down for a false bow.

Thorax blushed profusely. Damn it, he thought, why did this annoying stallion have to be so cute? “Llets, Do a tour, shall wwe?”

“FILTH, THIS PLACE IS FILTH! I’ve got goo on my Hooves. Is there a spa?”

“Huh?”

“Is there a spa?”

Thorax shook his head quickly, trying to make his face less red. The prince harrumphed and turned around. Thorax’s horns emitted a red glow, which he contained quick enough that no-one could see it, hopefully.

So after awhile, Thorax decides he can’t deal with this for much longer, and tells the people at the therapy thing to stall Blueblood. Blueblood is able to release his anger a bit, softening up to the changelings.

Over the next year, Blueblood attends daily circles and becomes good friends with many changelings. Thorax finally works up the courage to ask out the prince, who hesitates at first but accepts.

And the rest is history!

I came up with this ship after deciding that FlutterCord should be part of the NGR. I love Thorax, though, so I needed to pair him up. I was thinking of Shining Armor, but remembered that I ship him with Blueblood. My mind went into shipping mode, and now I’m completely obsessed with this crackship I’ve created. (BTW, I call it Bluerax)
