This is a successor to my previous drawing of the Castle Mountain of Midnight. Once again, it's still based off of the original Midnight Castle from the G1 pilot episode of My Little Pony. But it's also influenced, and based on The Forbidden, and Bald Mountains. Both of which are threatening in their own rights, I might add.

But above ALL ELSE, this is the depiction I imagined of the dark fortress of Courageous-of-Light MLP series, called Midnight Mountain. Basically, it serves as the last great fortress of Darkness, and is the source of pretty much all of the evil things that have happened in Equestria. This is where Tirek was made into the Supreme Master of Darkness, and chosen champion of said aspect. And in turn, this is where every bad thing in Equestria originated. Yet it's also where the War of Light and Darkness finally ended. I also get the feeling it may also be based on Mount Doom from LOTR. Which I think is a pretty cool idea, tbh.

I just hope you guys enjoy this as much as that.
