A bunch of really old doodles (2016-2017) of some of my Athenaverse characters (with parents, friends, etc). Some of these have slightly outdated designs. So yeah, I totally called that Spike would eventually get wings. So anywho, let's dive right in. You've been introduced to everyone here except the lady in the braid. She is Juniper Berry, daughter of Applejack and Ash Bark (eventual OC hubby that will also be introduced).


So we're not really gonna go through every doodle here. This is gonna be a rambly dump. As you can see here at the beginning, we've got some Athena studies. Being mostly draconequus, she of course is made up of all kinds of different things. Most of her characteristics were inherited from her parents and grandparents. Her eyes, hair, and wings are of course from Fluttershy. Her face/neck fur, eye spots, and, well, being a draconequus, of course comes from Discord's side. Athena also inherited her grandmother Eris's body color, her snow leopard paw, and her back legs. Her lynx paw was courtesy of her grandfather Disarray. Her parents and friends have always reassured her she is pretty, but Annie isn't so sure…


What she is sure of is her Uncle Spike. Athena took a liking to Spike since she can relate to being different, Spike being far different than other dragons. Spike, of course, acts as the designated big brother to most of the Athenaverse cast. He has been known to step in when those darn bullies bother his little friends, and they always celebrate when he visits from the Dragon Lands.


Athena went through a lot of development before I posted her official bio. One tidbit that was always there from the beginning: her favorite food in the whole world is pomegranates. She will eat them whole, and cultivates her own little pomegranate tree in the background. Of course, this meant her friend Cherry Chimichanga (Pinkie's daughter), who has a penchant for mixing strange foods and making delicious dishes, often harvests her fruit. Sometimes…without asking.


Athena loves her mummy. They have a very close bond, and though Fluttershy never thought she'd have such a unique daughter, she loves her with all of her heart and soul.


Now here's some Chakras and Chicken Wings for y'all (thanks pastel now they'll be known as nothing else). Treehugger was actually the inspiration for Mel's cutie mark (a dreamcatcher). He loves both of his parents, and has been very laid-back since he was a colt. He was content with just chilling with dad on top of a good, fluffy cloud, or muse with him over different mane styles.


Ophelia, Mel's best friend secret crush is only a little taller than the average filly. She has dwarfism and barely comes to Mel's shoulder. However, he has never teased her about her stature out of spite. They'll snark back and forth at one another, but its always with a smile and gentle tone. They have an amicable, stable relationship. Ophelia feels closer to the lanky stallion than to anypony else. Nopony else, other than Annie and Dawn, have treated her so kindly. But there's something different about him. Ophelia finds herself confused, and often ignoring these feelings.
