Detailed information on the ship featured being salvaged here >>1819587
History and Basic Technical Specs: Following the success of the Wayfarer as a mobile workshop and base of operations, Crash Dive and looked to broaden their fleet to a second ship. While Pressure Cooker insisted that the Wayfarer needed further fine tuning, the discovery of a derelict steam boat just off of the Equestrian coastline was too good to pass up. Near intact and with remarkably little corrosion, the steam boat was overhauled and refitted for canal and river duties, before being christened the Errant Venture.
The Venture's cider fire boiler and two cylinder engine is remarkably powerful for its size, giving the boat a level of agility few conventional vessels can match. Capable of easily outstripping the average paddle or sail boat, its only true competitors are more modern propeller driven builds. However, the Venture's foremost holding area allows it to ferry a number of smaller tools, items and equipment as cargo. This has allowed Pressure Cooker to utilise the boat as a means to quickly respond to job opportunities where here skills are needed, or to haul valuable salvage to and from Ponyville.
The small cabin is large enough to shelter a single helmsman and three passengers from most weather conditions, along with six others on the main deck. Any circumstances where the boat ferries so many ponies at once are extremely rare, and in most cases the boat will only carry one additional passenger at the most. As the Errant primarily serves as a short range rapid craft intended for a single day's use, it is typically best utilised when Pressure Cooker is operating on her own. The shallow hull and streamlined underside allows it to routes unavailable to larger ships, while the prow has been reinforced several times to minimise the risk posed by accidental impacts.
Pressure Cooker has also been seen utilising the Errant Venture as a means to promote herself, using its speed and high waterline to host advertisements for her personal business. This is typically reserved for times when she is sailing through Ponyville itself, but the nature and design of the advertisements tends to change from region to region. Of late, a few others have begun appearing alongside them, notably ones citing the quality of Sweet Apple Acres' products. How much of this is down to a deal between Pressure Cooker and the Apple family over fuel, and how much of it is due to Crash Dive's hero worshiping, is as of yet unknown.
