Here, Smolder is depicted as a tribal warrior, as the Vozonids associate dragons like her with the south where reptilian beasts and barbarian tribes live. (Most dragons are considered as monsters in Vozonid myth, such as Illujanka, which the thunder god Teshub fought and killed. Hopefully Smolder would instead be treated as a funny orange raptor with wings …)
