(After turning in all his equipment, Acheron retreats to a secluded part of the Everfree forest where he goes to think)

Acheron: Disappointed.. *sighs* I cant believe… *Feels his tears forming in the corners of his eyes* What am I going to do?!

(In the middle of his mini freak out, he hears a voice behind him)

Nova: Ron?

Acheron: What are you doing here, Nova? *not turning around, hiding his tears*

Nova: I came to see if you were alright..

Acheron: Why wouldnt I be?

Nova: Well, I-

Acheron: You what? Told my mother I was a failure?!

Nova: Acheron, its not like that..

Acheron: Sure it isnt.. *sighs* I get it.. You dont need to be worried about me being mad at you. I understand..

Nova: You do?

Acheron: Yeah.. I am a failure after all. Its the truth; You have no reason to feel guilty.

Nova: Ron.. You're not a failure! You just need to-

Acheron: Need to WHAT, Nova?! *turns and glares at her, sees Nova gasp and looks away from her, slightly ashamed* Sorry..

Nova: Its.. its ok. You're upset.

Acheron: You know.. my entire life, I always looked up to my mother. I always thought she was the strongest, bravest pony I knew. I wanted nothing more than to be just like her. But.. *tears start falling again* No matter how hard I try, no matter what I do, I still screw up! I still make a fool of myself! I just dont get it… Why cant I change? I- I dont want to disappoint her! *sobbing at this point* I want to change, Nova! I just dont know how!

Nova: Acheron.. *trying not to cry herself; She had never seen Acheron act so sincerely, let alone bearing his heart and soul in front of her at risk of his own embarressment* Ron.. I hate seeing you like this.. Its not like you.. Listen, if this is how you really feel, you CAN change!

Acheron: HOW?! Because I've tried, Nova… It may not have seemed like it, but I've tried. I've been trying! I'm a failure.. *sighs* And I always will be..

Nova: No you're not! Ron, you need to stop thinking of yourself like that.. *puts her hoof on his shoulder*

Acheron: How cant I? My mother thinks that of me.. The one pony I trust and respect most in this world.. I'm nothing but a disappointment to her.

Nova: Than prove her wrong! *turns him and glares into his eyes* Acheron, you can do anything you set your heart to. Yes, you have messed up and fooled around your whole life, but you were confident, and passionate about it! No matter how much it annoyed me or made others shake their heads and roll their eyes, you never stopped. Because thats who YOU are, Ron. And if you really feel the need to try and change that… You need to put in as much confidence and compassion into that goal! I believe in you.. You're more than just a goof off.. I know you are. Everypony has potential to live up to their dreams. You can be just as amazing as Tempest Shadow and more, and you can make her PROUD!

Acheron: Nova… *eyes wide, tears falling*

Nova: You can do it, Ron.. *hugs him* I know you can.. You need to believe it too. You're not a failure.

Acheron: … You know Nova, you'd make a good actress.. It was very convincing..

Nova: *chuckles a bit but sighs* Shut up, Ron.

Acheron: *tries to stop his tears and feels the corner of his mouth smirk a little* Thanks Nova.. I needed that. But never tell anypony you saw me crying..

Nova: *laughs a little and rolls her eyes* No problem, Ron. If you need help, just let me know.

Acheron: Thanks.. but this is something I need to do myself. You're right. I need to change, and I need to figure out how to MY way. I need to do this. *looks away, determined, thinking to himself* I'll prove it to her. I'll prove to them all.. I will make her proud!

Since my drawing stylus broke again, I had to order a new one. Until it shows up, I am resorted to base work for now.
