I drew this as a bit of closure for Sunset's overarching story with Celestia and feeling homesick for Equestria. I concluded that while Sunset would miss living in her home world, she couldn't abandon her best friends, and the life that she had built for herself. So in the end, Celestia honors Sunset's wishes, and assures her that she is always welcome in Equestria.
A gift that I made for Rebecca 'Sunset Shimmer' Shoichet, who I met at Ponyville Ciderfest 2018. One of the nicest people I've ever met.
