1. Being a princess, even one of friendship, means having many duties- one of those included meetings with ponies, from the local charity committee to high officials of the Equestrian Court. These meetings were long, occasionally boring, and not suited for foals, which meant that Pansy, being the responsible daughter she is, was often put encharge of watching the twins. Of course the boys adored this, and not just because it meant staying up late. Pansy wasn't just a great babysitter- she was a fantastic reader. Their favorite part of the evening was cuddling up around Pansy as she read to them some thrilling adventure book for what seemed like hours on end. Although, occasionally, Twilight would check in on them only to find them in a sleeping pile.
2. While Pansy isn't a exactly what you'd call a doormat, she absolutely loathes having ponies upset with her, and is willing to be rudely treated at the expense of confrontation. However, scrawny, beanpole Pinetree doesn't take kindly to strangers mistreating his sweet big sis and is willing to stand up to the big meanie with her squeaky voice and non-threatening demeanor. Pansy, albeit a bit embarrassed, appreciates her little brother's efforts, even though most of the time, they don't really have an affect.
3. Pinetree is infamous for his pranks and no pony knows his shenanigans quite like Pansy and Eclipse do. Most of the time the two lightly scold or snicker at his mischief and even Eclipse would occasionally partner with him. Unfortunately, sometimes a few of PT's pranks got a little out of hoof to the point where even PT himself felt he had crossed the line. Pansy and Eclipse don't hesitate to pull a 'parent' look and say "I told you so."
4. Although Pinetree is not nearly as much as a nature freak as Pansy, they do have one thing they have an unholy obsession of- bugs. They're such nerds when it comes to insects and they'll have a full on geek-out anytime a particularly interesting one crawls out of the hellhole from whence it came. Eclipse, like the sane pony he is, prefers to stay a good twenty yards away and stare in disgust as they fawn over the little devils.
5. While Pansy is a pony person and is openly friendly with most everyone she meets, she's still an introvert at heart with an inherent need to recharge and catch her breath. This happens especially at big event's like her mother's Friendship Ball or the Grand Galloping Gala. Sometimes, she just needs a moment to step back and clear her head. Often she does this by seeking out her brother Eclipse's company, since he's usually already hiding in a sheltered corner of the room. It's little moments like these that the two really connect with each other over their watered down punch and third serving of hummus.
6. Any good set of healthy, well-adjusted siblings have their petty fights and disagreements, and the TwiTimber trio are no exception. But at the end of the day, when all is said and done about "taking responsibility" and "stop passing off my unfinished inventions as your science project", the three have a very deep bond together. The twins are themselves practically inseparable, and when it comes to Pansy, they love fawning over her as much as she does to them. I guess it's true what they say; a three fold cord is not easily broken.
