It’s Ipsywitch!

Sure, she may be a tentacular lovecraftian eldrich horror; but that doesn’t mean she’s not a nice person! No, that’s for entirely different reasons, but the whole cyclopean elder signs thing really doesn’t help her case. That being said, I’m not sure she’s looking for her case to be helped. In any case!

An Ipsywitch

Ingredients:

1 oz Kraken rum
1oz Lemon Hart 151 Demerara rum
1oz gold rum
.25oz falernum
.5oz Maraschino Liqueur
.5oz Blue Curacao
.75oz Lime Juice
.75oz Grapefruit juice
.75oz orange juice
.75oz pineapple juice
2 dashes bitters
1/8th tsp Strega Liqueur
1.25 cup crushed ice
2oz Vodka
¼th tsp Sea Salt
Chilled Mug
2 actual, honest to goodness real limes.
1 Starfruit
Special Equipment:

Blender. Very Fine Peeler or Paring Knife. Mixing Glass. Spoon.

Making an Ipsywitch:

Place .25 cup of crushed ice into chilled mug.
Place all remaining ingredients with the exception of the Vodka, the sea salt, the limes, and the starfruit into the blender.
Blend for five to ten seconds.
Pour contents of blender into mug.
Pick up mixing glass.
Place Vodka and Sea Salt into Mixing Glass.
Stir contents of mixing glass until salt has disappeared.
Sprinkle ½ teaspoon of Vodka-Salt mixture across top of drink
Using tool of choice, cut out quarter-inch slice of Starfruit
Wedge starfruit on rim of glass.
With adult supervision, cut long, thin strips of the lime peel, going around the outside, not up and down, for greater length. This should also give them a natural curl.
Place Lime-Peel Tentacles so that they are swarming out of the glass, and over the rim.
Drink!
You’ve just finished making an Ipsywitch!

This one is a potent, potent cocktail. In addition to its strength, you don’t notice that it’s really kicking in, until you’re on the floor, gibbering. I’d really, really recommend keeping this one to one cocktail per person; let’s stay safe and sensible this Halloween.~
