“Hnnng” Twinkle grunted, giving the scarf a tight yank around the snowponies neck. She then let it fall from her mouth, before stumbling a few steps backwards. Tapping her chin thoughtfully, she watched as Lokie gently place the top hat on its head.

“Hmmm…move it two inches to the left,” she commanded squeakily, pointing to the desired spot.

Without a word, Lokie scooted the hat over two inches.

“Now….just a smidge bit to the right!”

He moved it again.

“Okay, how about pushing it down just a little more.”

Lokie lazily rolled his eyes, but he did as he was told.

“Alright, now-“

“Twinkle,” he interrupted, without the slightest hint of annoyance in his soft voice.

The filly chuckled nervously as she said hastily, “Perfect! It’s perfect!”

Stepping back, the stallion observed the past hours work. Granted, it wasn’t the best snowpony, but at least it looked like one, and that was good enough for him.

“Well…almost perfect,” Twinkle said.

Lokie looked down at the filly, cocking his head in confusion as he asked, “Almost?”

“Eeyup,” She nodded mater-of-factly. “It needs more glitter.”

He glanced at their creation. “Uh, but it doesn’t have glitter?”

“Exactly!” Twinkle said, grinning mischievously up at Lokie. In a flurry of snowflakes, the filly bounded off, yelling behind her as she galloped, ”I’ll be right back with the biggest bucket of gold glitter you’ve ever seen! Don’t go anywhere!”

Lokie, being the submissive soul that he is, sat down on his haunches, not minding the cold chill that the snow teased up his spine. In fact, he didn’t mind at all the feel cold breeze that sent loose flakes flying or the snow that left his outer coat soaking wet. Why should he, when he had a thick coat to guard off against the chill. Rather, he welcomed a chance to get outside and the feel fresh, freezing air. It’s why he agreed to come out and play with Twinkle in the first place.

Well, that, and because her puppy eyes caught him in a moment of weakness.

Suddenly, a crashing wham broke the soft wintery silence and startled Lokie from his train of thought. In a blink, Twinkle and her furry earmuffs were standing right beside him, with a bucket of glowing gold glitter.

“Bombs away!” She squealed, chucking the bucket at the snowpony and sending at least a pound of glitter flying into the air.

Lokie shielded his eyes from the blinding light with his paw, unable to see clearly for a second. Once the devil dust settled, he stared in awe at the glittering snowpony.

“There, now it’s perfect!” Twinkle said, clapping her hooves excitedly.

Turning to Lokie, she asked sweetly, “ What do you think we should name it?”

Lokie thought for a moment, before saying, “I think Jingle be-“

“-Laughy Taffy! Great idea, Lokie!” She interupted, seemingly oblivious.

But Lokie didn’t mind, seeing how he was used to Twinkle being caught up in her own little world. He simply nodded in a approval at her suggestion and let it go.

“Hey, lets go get Mom and show it to her! Come on!” She yelled, already running off.

Lokie stood up and began calmly following her inside, as the pink filly yelled again, “Last one inside is a piece of Caramel’s stale fruitcake!”
