"Proud of Your Boy" is not only my favorite deleted Disney song of all time, but it is also the song that literally inspired my character Acheron.. his personality and story arc at least. I wanted a character who looked up to his mother, and wanted to be just like her, but just couldnt find a way to and instead keeps making a fool of himself. I wanted Acheron to be childish, and immature, but at the same time desire to make himself better; and to make his mother (Tempest Shadow) proud of him. Behind his foolishness, he just wants to prove that he is worth his familys legacy, and deep down, he isnt entirely the self absorbed, immature stallion he appears to be at first glance.

This made him one of my favorite characters of mine due to that inspiration behind "Proud of Your Boy".
Only a few ponies can actually see past his foolish exterior to see the true Acheron inside; And that kind of character development is why he is one of my personal favorites.
