Sabah is from olden times. Born in a poor village the year of the Pillars' disappearance, her talent for healing the wounded (even as a filly) grew rapidly and word spread throughout the Southern Equestria desert. In a land where unicorns passed few and far between, her abilities were rare and valuable. Word of them even reached Pharaoh Hisan.

Upon hearing of her skill, the Pharaoh sent for Sabah immediately to tend to his son—the young prince had broken his wing in a terrible accident and his father's healers warned that he would never fly again. But, where the healers had failed, Sabah managed to repair the prince's wing. Much to their delight (though it took more than two moons of to heal the wing) the young prince and Pharaoh Hisan were once again able to soar over their kingdom together.

To show his gratitude, Hisan granted Sabah the role of High Priestess and a place amongst his court. Sabah accepted the title, but turned down the offer to advise him. Instead, she travelled throughout Southern Equestria to heal the sick and spread her knowledge.
