Background/Personality:
Sunblast is the only child of Duke Blueblood and Moondancer. Born into an ancient bloodline and incredibly wealthy unicorn family, Sunblast started life with a silver spoon in his mouth. However, Moondancer made sure the young colt's inheritance did not morph him into a pony like his father. Both Moondancer and Sunblast's nannies raised the young cream colt the valuable lessons of life, such as respect and kindness towards all ponies, how to share with others, and never forgetting who he is inside. By his school days, Sunblast was a perfect little gentlecolt, of which never left the cream stallion when he reached adulthood. Although he learned at the hooves of his mother and nannies, in his young age Sunblast yearned to connect with his father. Being a child, Sunblast did not understand his father's disapperances and disinterest in his son, and so the poor colt desperatly tried to see what he and his father could bond over from hoofball to literature. However, as the colt grew into a young stallion, Sunblast finally realized that his father simply did not care to know him as a pony, especailly when the older white stallion had young mares to entertain him instead. By his high school years, Sunblast accepted his father's abandonment and simply pushed his father aside in his mind. When Sunblast graduated, the cream stallion enrolled in the Guard Academy with the heartwarmed approval of Moondancer. However, Blueblood finally voiced his opinion on Sunblast's future by being furious at his son taking a life threatening "below him" job with the guard. After a heated argument resulting in bitter words, Sunblast ignored his father and joined the Royal Guard, graduating a few years later with high honors and a place as a top guard under the Crystal Empire Royal Guard where he presently gives his own life to protect the lives of the Crystal Empire.

One would think the wealthy heir of an ancient bloodline would turn into a pompous pony who never lifts a hoof to help another: however, thankfully that is not the case with Sunblast. No pony has anything bad to say about Sunblast as the stallion is the epitome of the fairytale hero: strong, brave, athletic, handsome, and chilvarous in risking his own life for others. Sunblast's heart and soul is as warm as his mane and goes above and beyond to prove himself better than his father.

Relationships:

Sunblast gave up on his father years ago, choosing to simply forget his father all together while a chill occurs at the mention of his name. Meanwhile, Sunblast loves his mother Moondancer and his nannies dearily, often showering them with gifts and hugs whenever the stallion had the chance.

Sunblast was an only child growing up and did not see too much of his extended family. Sunblast barely remembers his paternal grandparents since they never bothered to take interest in their grandson beyond making sure the stallion grew into adulthood. Sunblast does understand his relation to Princess Celestia and Princess Serena; however, he does not boast about this relation and prefers to see the royal family as friends rather than blood family.

Growing up wealthy, Sunblast found it difficult to distinguish between genuine friends and those interested in his money and status. Sunblast does call a few ponies his genuine friends, including Azure Glitter, another wealthy class mare, and Aegis Frost who he trained alongside at the Guard Academy.

- Sunblast's cutie mark is a sun encasing an explosion. The mark symbolizes Sunblast's namesake and his talent in attack magic.
- Sunblast's magic is "warmer" than other pony's magic mostly due to his distant connection to Princess Celestia. Sunblast's magic seems to radiate heat, especially when overly emotional.
- Unlike his mother, Sunblast only needs his glasses when reading.
- As the son of Duke Blueblood, Sunblast is both an heir to the ancient bloodline and wealth of Princess Platinum and is fourth in line for Princess Celestia's Sun Throne.
- As a young colt, Sunblast seemed to relate to the princes and knights of the fairy tales his mother read to him at night. From both these heroic tales and an inner knowledge of his own powers, Sunblast vowed to be like the knights of the fairytales, risking his life to help others in need.
