Okay, hear me out on this one.

Princess Cadance from the show was a pawn needed for a storyline. She was introduced and then pretty much ignored until season 6. There was ONE episode in season 4 but it focused on Discord, not Cadance. Season 6 brought that delightful demon chaos baby into the world, and now she's just "the mom character." She's bland, boring, and really has no appeal, there's even an entire Friends Forever comic about this. Even the writers know she's bland and generic.

But with the comics comes some room to flesh out characters more. In the comics, starting with the earlier issues of the Friendship is Magic series, we see Cadance as this completely different pony. Sassy, smart, adorkable, and sarcastic, she's full of personality.

So that's my stance on it. You don't have to agree.
