A loud knock rung out as somepony placed their hoof on the large crystal doors followed by the timid voice of Princess Flurry Heart's hoofmaiden.

"Miss Flurry Heart, your father wishes to see you"

"Tell father that I am busy!" The princess shot back quickly, not offering any more information than that.

The light green unicorn sighed defeated and turned to adress the prince of consort. "It's all I've been able to get out of her for a full day your highness, she won't even let me enter her room to bring in her meals"

Shining Armor put a hoof on the young hoofmaidens shoulder "Thank you for bringing me, I'll make sure to find out what's the matter" he gave her a reassuring smile to ease her mind.

The unicorn shot a worried glance at the door before bowing her head and turning around to leave "Thank you your highness"

As soon as she was out of sight Shining's smile transformed into a worried frown. He quickly placed his hoof on the door to push it open announcing his presence as he did "Flurry dear I just want to talk a little bit"

"NO!" Flurry Heart yelled

Shining saw the large door light up with turqoise magic before it suddenly slammed shut and pushed him back out in the corridor again. A surprised whinny left the white stallion as he had never seen his daughter act like this before. The magic surrounding the door didn't vanish as Flurry seemed to be holding it in place.

"Flurry what is going on?"

"I can't tell you!" she answered sounding alarmingly frantic and distressed.

Hearing his daughter in such a state he couldn't just leave.
"Flurry Heart please forgive me" he said before backing up slightly then running forward and slaming against the door knocking it open.

A loud whimper was heard as light crept inside the pitch black room followed by the sound of a huge wing quickly unfoldning. It took a few seconds for the stallions eyes to adjust to the lack of light. Right infront of him sat his baby girl with her back turned towards him and wings flared. Around her was piles of what looked like… hair? Confused he squinted slightly and realised that it was indeed hair, it was parts of Flurry's mane!

Shocked and confused Shining's jaw hung open as he said "Baby… what in Equestria happened?"

Crying and sniffling all Flurry could utter was "Don't look at me!"

So yeah this got more text than intended, most of it is pretty redundant as I think the pic probably speak for itself in huge part.

Flurry's insecurities got a whole lot worse when she unexpectedly lost all of her mane in a disease similar to Alopeci Areata.
She locked herself in her room for a whole week and only let her mom and dad see her initially.

I know it seems like I just like torturing my characters (okay partly true) but don't worry, there'll be a happy ending.


Also overdramatic shading is overdramatic! I will probably take a break from such super elaborate shadings for a while and do some nice lil flat colors to loosen up a bit.
