Now, headcanon time!

Not only the pegasus but also the majority of winged creatures with feathers or not, make nests to attract mate and raise their young there.But some species like the Pegasus have romantic traditions, in special occasions they build love nests, extremely elaborate, some carry beds to secluded places in the forests, even make classic nests with grass and branches, or just move savannas in the grass but not without decorate them. Some preferred hanging nests, near the river or in caves, they choose carefully the place and day. Decorating is of great importance as it reflects the love for their partner, the classic are flowers of the color of his lover's fur or their favorite fruits, not only decorative if not to eat. This practice is mostly to celebrate anniversaries, wedding nights or Valentine's Day.
