I've been weaned off of drawing ponies for a long while, now, so the rust was real. And oh goody, was I happy when Calamity asked me for not only a pony, but my favorite thing I know how to do best: Expressions.
The above statement is a lie.
So here we have his very own OC, Cerulean Constellation. He's had an idea for a dark-skinned unicorn with bright dots on her back, and was particularly moved to bring her to life after I skirted too dangerously closed to that with one of my own characters. And as the great master Woolie says in his Woolie Will Figure It Out Podcast, keeping an idea in your head, never committing it to reality, is a surefire way of stumbling upon someone else who had the same, or at least a similar idea, and who did indeed do something with it. It may feel, then, like that person somehow stole that idea from your innermost thoughts — but the truth is that with the amount of thinking human beings that exist… Ideas aren't special or original, as long as they are locked away in someone's head.
Ideas that are realized and committed to paper, however — those are to be treasured.
So good on him for taking the plunge.
