I've wanted an OC who's an Umbrum even since reading the IDW comics, and now I have one called Sorpresa.
Yes, Umbrum are a species in the comics. They are essentially spooky eldrich shadow ponies and I love them.
In the comics, King Sombra is also an Umbrum.
