“Please, just listen to me!” Rainbow Dash yelled, panicked.
“No! You lost our child, Rainbow! This isn’t just forgetting to pay the bills, or losing your favorite jacket! It’s our Faust be damned child! And you! You didn’t tell me anything! You let her be taken away from us! From me!” Coloratura shouted, tears streaming quickly down her face in loss, anger, and stress.
“I-I tried to save her! The curse it …” Rainbow began, trying to explain.
“The curse this, the curse that. You didn’t tell me the part of the curse that included losing our child!” Coloratura retorted, her voice cracking with pain.
“Because I knew you wanted kids! I knew you wanted to be a mom! And I thought- I could fight it, and I could protect her…it could all be okay …” Rainbow Dash looked to ground in shame, aware of what she had done and how wrong it was.
“Well good job, because guess what? It’s not okay! I have always loved you, for all of you, but you know what I fucking hate? Your arrogance. Your pride. Your belief that you can save the day! You lied to me! And our child is gone! Celestia even knows if she’s alive! And now I will have to live the rest of my life, unsure if my baby is even alive out there!” Coloratura screamed, the pain in her chest burning and unbearable.
“I…Colly….” Rainbow Dash felt the tears well up in her eyes, unsure of what to say.
“Don’t fucking call me that.” Coloratura spoke with a deadly glare that could cut. “I’m leaving. If I’m not back in a few months, expect divorce papers.” Coloratura turned in anger, it seemingly being the end of the conversation.
“What?! Colly, no, wait-” Rainbow Dash reached out a hoof to her wife and a sharp pain was struck upon her face. She….she slapped her.
“I said…don’t. Call. Me. That. And don’t fucking touch me. You….you disgust me. I’m going to be with Applejack for a while. I….I need to be away from you.” And with those words, Rainbow stood stunned while her wife packed her things and walked out the door with a slam.
