Valravns are cunning, crafty intelligent creatures that are part raven and part wolf. Because of their dubious nature, they are often shunned and feared, especially considering the fact they quite enjoy the taste of pony flesh and blood. Despite this though they do not actively hunt ponies, rather they enjoy hanging around cemeteries and battlefields to find fresh corpses. They tend to not get along with gryphons, and even less so with hippogriffs.

Based on the Danish folklore
Obviously I had to change a fair bit around about their 'origins' and whatnot for Eponia. They're a lot closer to gryphons now in Eponian mythology, than evil spirits
