The antelopes run off towards the grove, leaving the Hornbill to assume that they rudely awakened him from his slumber just for their own amusement.
With no further foreseeable explanation, (at least from the direction he is looking) the Hornbill concludes that they were simply being rude.
He brushes off his own wings to rid of any leaves, sticks or any other debris as he scoffs at the annoyance.
He then begins to hear a faint noise from behind which has an ever increasing volume, as if it's getting closer.
Turning his head to look, he get's shocked at the sight of what's barreling towards him!
DAH!

Guess who's stomping to dinner.
This page was a lot of work to color, but I finally got it out! It was quite fun to play around with how expressive I could make the wings of the hornbill on this page.
Wings are essentially the arms of the bird, so I wanted them to convey emotion as much as his face would.
Especially in that last panel, I was really excited to to get to that one.
Also the first panel took about 3 hours to color on it's own. Forests take a little while, but I'm really proud of how it's turning out so far!
