Even before she joined the Wonderbolts, I don't think Dash's life was actually this depressing. I doubt "doing the weather" was ever a full-time job, especially at the speed she could fly around. Equestrian society seems pretty relaxed about employment; does Fluttershy even work? She has money, so either the squirrels are stealing bits for her or there is some kind of Universal Basic Pony Income. It sounds like a nice place to live, where you can hold down a job if you want some extra spending cash, but if not, you'll probably be okay! You can eat the grass for free.
