Personality/Bio: Larkspur is on the balance between being an intolerable grump and a passionate boy who would die for those he cares about. As a child he was a happy ball of sunshine that sang Songbird Serenade singles, but a series of betrayals from his friends and family led to him becoming very cynical, emotionally unstable teenager who pushed everyone out of his bubble of sincere connections. Including his own mother, who admittedly allowed him to fall into this mental state without much of a fight, partially due to her own emotion struggles after Discord abandoned them. Discord himself is naturally a sensitive subject to the young Larkspur. The two never really "clicked" after Larkspur grew up a little and started to become less chaotically inclined than Discord hoped for. The child instead used magic to befriend animals and help his plants grow, so when his father seemed to grow progressively more disinterested in him, Larkspur began to feel kind of inadequate. Out of desperation for attention, Larkspur started to use more chaos magic and played pranks on others to win his father's approval, until one day one of his pranks went a little too far and ended up nearly killing his cousin Brick.

The following years were not terribly happy ones, with Larkspur cutting off all possibly healthy relationships he could have. That is, until a particularly cranky old unicorn and small earth pony stepped into his life. Nickel Whooves becomes a pivotal character in Larkspur's life as he finally provides him the grounding to grow into a better person, and Scraps became sort of a father figure and friend that Larkspur was desperately missing in his life.

Eventually Larkspur becomes the local apothecary, eager to help others and educate locals on Ponyville wildlife. He has an affinity toward toxic plants and animals, and so is a great resource for antivenins, antibiotic medicine and homegrown painkillers. He finds joy in his career, and slowly becomes a better, albeit still lonely person.

Notes:

Larkspur is immune to most venoms and toxic substances, with the exception to chimera and changeling venom. Because of this he is able to befriend and freely handle highly venomous and poisonous creatures. As a teenager, he would also drink and smoke rattlesnake venom out of spite and because it was a trait expected of someone like him. (Basically it's the equivalent of drinking hard liquor or smoking pot which signifies that he is susceptible to venom to a degree when ingested. gave me the idea a long time ago when she asked if Lark was actually immune, or if he was just a good snake handler. Initially I chose the latter, but then I started seeing the appeal of a bratty demigod drinking venom like a real edgeboy just to scare others.) As an adult, he uses his immunity to help others — although he's not opposed to a few shots of venom in times of anxiety or stress.

- He's also somewhat of a hobbyist historian, specializing in pony-nonpony relations throughout Equstrian history

- Like his father, he can transform into things at will, including a pony. He transforms only when he's treating patients because the large, cat-like, big toothed draconequus form is a little offputting for many. His cutie mark is poison joke, one of his favorite flowers.

-His favorite plant in his collection is a well trimmed somnambula he lovingly named Sleepy that uses to treat his insomnia

Yay! A Larkspur redesign! His little salamander feet kinda looked weird and ambiguous if that makes sense, and I thought bird and wolf feet would suit him better. Hope you like it!
