For those of you who may not know or remember, I made a poll a few weeks ago asking my watchers what piece of art they want me to redraw in honor of my one 1 year anniversary on DA. Unsurprisingly, one of my earliest pictures of Discord’s first time bonding with his little son Lokie won by a landslide! Ironically, it was drawn in the month of May, so I was able to do an exact year-by-year comparison.

Unfortunately, none of the ‘Draw this Again’ meme formats cooperated with my drawing app so I had to make my own from scratch. It gets the job done.Sweating a little…

Now, after one year of drastic style choices and a new drawing app and Apple pen, I still can’t get Discord's paw/claws right! I guess that comes from drawing hooves 90% of the time. I’ll have to practice that more for next years re-redraw.

Oh, and in case you all are wondering why “old version” Discord looks so weirdly colored, my drawing app at the time was so outdated it didn’t have an eyedropper tool, so I had to guess the colors. That’s why the new one actually looks like Discord! I also took a few liberties with switching Discord’s horns and Lokie’s pose ( which I believe to be cuter in the newest version), but other than that, it’s a complete clone of the first.

Thanks to everyone who picked this piece! It’s was ton of fun to redraw, and I look forward to doing this again next year! I am a dummy!
