Anansi: I'm sorry. You're not mad anymore, right, mama?

Anansi, like most foals, was very difficult and rowdy, so he would often get scolded by his mother often. But unlike other foals, his mischief often led to other ponies getting hurt so his scoldings were very firm. Being a child, Anansi would want nothing more than for his mama to stop yelling at him and not be mad. So one day, he chose to make her.

He stole her memory of his misdeed.

It was his first time doing this so abruptly, which lead to his mother fainting. When she woke up with only a headache and a bloody nose, she wrote it off as nothing. She later found her son sitting in a dark corner, crying as he clutched a glowing jar. Anansi felt guilty for hurting his mama but was glad she was no longer mad at him.

As he gained better control of his abilities, he continued to take memories from his mother whenever she caught onto his actions but was later threatened by his father to never do so again. He later learned that constantly stealing memories like he'd done was harmful to a creatures mental state.
