I never really realized how intricate Lyra's design was until I started patterning out her hair-so many sweeps and extra bits to account for that most ponies don't have! All told, her hair is comprised of six different pieces all sewn together to create one unified mop of a coiffure, which instantly gives Lyra the award for the most complicated pattern of all my girls. Ironically though, having all of those separate pieces actually made her hair much easier to design, and I think it gives Lyra one of the fullest and most naturally layered looks of all my girls. I can think of a few ponies in particular who would benefit from this design approach in the future. ;)
