Ready for some backstory?

Golden star is an earth pony, who grew up in Ponyville. She's 20 years of age, and is currently working as a mineralogist, cataloguing all of the different gems and minerals of Equestria. She currently resides underneath Ponyville, in a small cavern. (seen on the right)

Golden's special talent is her ability to instinctively know if caverns/caves within the vicinity have crystals, gems and/or gold hidden inside of them. Word of this has spread slowly, and she is often hired to use her talent to find crystals with teams of miners.
