I struggled a bit to come up with this piece for Celestia's day. At the back of my mind the thought that this could be the last time to officially celebrate her was tinging every shot I could think of with melancholy… For a while I thought I eeded to come up with something that would involve all her subjects but I didn't had much time (and, as a matter of fact, I ended up posting this piece too late). Than I thought to portray a more intimate moment, maybe with her star pupil. But it all felt kind of sad really. And, than, I realized that she was part of a circle and to really celebrate her I needed to call for her sister.
The fact that "Between dark and dawn" rolled out as I was finishing inking this piece gave me some extra energy to work on it.

I'm quite happy of the way it came out, though 1)pencils are damn hard to scan properly and 2)There are color choices I made that I'm kinda regretting…
