Epic stomped into the room, huffing with annoyance as she laid down on Sirius' barrel. The prince looked up, a bit surprised to see his marefriend in such a bad mood.
"Are you alright, dearest?" He asked, nudging Epic's ear. "How did your show go?"
"Good, I guess." She grumbled, burying her head in his mane. "But I bumped into an old friend."
"Serenade?" He guessed, since Epic didn't actually have a lot of 'old' friends. He received a nod but was confused. Sirius had no clue why she said that like it was a bad thing. "Ah, that's good."
"No, it wasn't!" She snapped, sitting up. "His band mates were harassing me and calling me a chump cause I was opening for them. So imagine my surprise when I learn that Seren had apparently told them to do all that! I mean, what kind of stallion does that!?"
"Quite."
"Sirius, are you even listening?" She narrowed her eyes at him. Sirius was a very wordy guy so why was he being so blase about this.
"Of course." He replied, pulling Epic back onto his barrel. "But Serenade is your friend, right? I think you might be being a bit rash to accuse him of changing for the worse."
"You weren't there! Those guys were-"
"-not Serenade." He interrupted, fiddling with her ponytail. "Did you even give him a chance to speak? To Explain?"
"…No." She admitted, hating that he was kind of right. She did get a bit… impulsive when mad.
"Then you should." He said gently, smiling softly. "Friendship is too valuable to allow one as long lived as yours to fade, darling."
"I guess." She sighed, still a bit mad but less so than when she had entered. Thinking about it, she knew Seren was a nice stallion and shill as shy as he was as a colt. The notion that he had become arrogant and mean was in such contrast with the short conversation they'd shared. "Darn, I wish I was as smart as you. Then again, you are a prince."
"It's nothing like that, darling." Sirius chuckled. "I'm only as smart as I try to be, just as you are as talented as you try."
"Do you really think I can be a star?" She mumbled, nuzzling close and staring up at the larger stallion.
"To me, you already are, darling." He replied, smiling softly. "But I suppose it'll take some time for the rest of the world to notice."

Sirius and Epic started dating in their teens though kept it a secret due to Sirius being a royal. Epic, who had been been in love with Sirius for years, was over the moon when she was asked out. Sirius as well, was happy to have someone to spend time with that he actually liked rather than his usual arm candy that was assigned to him.
