Ponies would be surprised to hear that a dignified and diplomatic mare like Duchess was secretly a huge fan of sports, but it’s true. After her breakup with Summer Beauty, Duchess needed to unwind. So what better way to do so than to experience the thrill of a boxing match? She got a front-row seat at a match headlined by the Equestria-famous Bustin’ Blazer. She enjoyed it not only because it helped her forget her ex, but also because Bustin’ Blazer was…attractive. Really attractive. So when the boxer invited her front-row fans to a dinner out, Duchess was the first to say yes. And that night, they hit it off. Duchess found that she really enjoyed spending time with Blaze, beyond just in a fan/athlete way. And even Blazer, among all the other fans she hung out with that night, felt something different around this mare.

So once the dinner was over Bustin' Blazer invited her number one fan out onto the balcony for what was supposed to be a quick chit chat. This ended up becoming a 3 hour long talk about their lives, their hobbies, their careers, and their past. The pony really named Trailblazer couldn't believe that any pony would do something like that to some pony as sweet and kind as Duchess. She would nor could ever even look at another mare if she already had someone like Duchess, so with that thought and a determined fervor she asked Duchess to be her special some pony. Not one to usually take risks, Duchess said yes anyways.
