Confident, outspoken, brave…these are words that do not apply to Zenith in the slightest. The second child of the Changeling King and his consort, Zenith takes after his father Thorax both in appearance and magic abilities. While his older brother often travels to the Crystal Empire for his lessons, Zenith is taught by Thorax. Like the changelings, Zenith's talents lie in transformative and camoflague magic. He is very talented in this aspect, but even startling the young catling can cause him to camoflague himself on reflex, a habit Zen is trying to break.

His antlers started sprouting when he was about 10, and they are shed every year around winter, when the other changelings in the hive burrow underground to hibernate. Royal Class changelings, such as Thorax and Pharynx, do not need to rest for the whole winter like the others, but still get a bit drowsy during the cold months. They use winter as a family bonding time with Capper and the kids, since the rest of the kingdom is dormant.

Zenith, like his brother Gossamer, ended up hatching from an egg as a strange mix of his two father's physiology, but other than his odd appearance, he is a very healthy hybrid. He is an avid fan of Princess Twilight, and also loves traveling with Thorax to Equestria or the Dragon Lands. While he knows he will someday have important duties as prince, he one day wishes to travel the world.
