Personality: Formerly a kind and loving princess, Solis is resentful of her mother for, practically, "planning out her life and expecting her to be the way she wanted". She is very ladylike and well-mannered, but won't stand any sort of misbehavior from anypony, regardless of who it is.

Bio: Shortly after Celestia banished her sister to the Moon, she started to feel lonely and also like she needed to get an heir in order to take her place as Equestria's ruler in case something happened. So, she had a child with one unknown stallion who got lost in history, that child being Solis. Celestia was pretty much a new mother and she didn't have much of an idea on how to raise a foal, and she didn't want her daughter to become corrupted like Luna did, so she started to educate her the same way she and Luna were, but Celestia was harsher and more demanding with Solis because she wanted her to have attitude.

During all of her life, Solis didn't really have time for herself. She did what her mother wanted her to do, say what her mother wanted to hear, and overall being the pony that Celestia wanted her to be. It's like her entire life was planned by her mom since the very beginning, and she accepted it at first but as she grew up, she realized how controlling and borderline abusive her mother was being. Celestia wasn't aware of how much she was hurting her daughter, as she only thought she was doing the best thing for Solis.

With the time, Solis became aware of a secret group of ponies that were planning to dethrone Celestia and set a republic in Equestria, as they thought of their ruler as useless and unnecessary. The way she saw it, if her mother was no longer a queen she would no longer control her, right? And so, she aided them with a complot against the solar princess, which failed and ended up with all of the rebellious ponies being imprisoned in Tartarus. When Celestia found out about her child being against her all the time, Solis finally lost it and blamed on Celestia for "ruining her life". Celestia was more merciful with Solis and banished her to a constellation named after her.

(This paragraph involves my main Next Gen timeline): Celestia eventually reunited with her sister, found love in Discord and had two more kids with him, and raised them differently from how she raised Solis. So far, Kohryu and Hathor don't know about their older sister, and Celestia doesn't plan on telling them about her. Though there are rumors that she could of been lurking around Equestria, they don't seem to be true…so far.

NOTES:

• Like Luna in the second season, Solis speaks with the Royal Canterlot accent.
• Solis knows about her little siblings, and hates them wholeheartedly (or so she would say, maybe she cares for them deep down…maybe).
